Fine art licensing and publishing Seminar

Open Studios – Calling all Rutland Artists & Designers
The Rutland Open Studios could be running for the first time to coincide with the Oakham Festival and Uppingham Fringe Festival (23-34 June & 30 June – 1 July). Exhibition Space Available in Loughborough
The Lost&Found is a small artist run gallery space in Loughborough, set up to provide exhibition opportunities for emerging artists in the East Midlands. The gallery is not for profit and run on a low budget with a strong DIY ethic. They are currently looking for visual artists to produce exciting and challenging new works for exhibitions in March, May and July. Presentation, discussion and an Installation based around their current public art project INTERVAL to create a site specific public artwork for the New Performing Arts Venue (NPAV) located in the heart of the Cultural precinct in Perth Western Australia. A pilot project that aims to exchange ideas, encourage and stimulate debate, strike conversations and extend professional and collaborative practice & international exchanges. East Midlands Furniture Designer of the Year
Are you a furniture designer looking for an opportunity to take your business to the next level? Do you live and work in the East Midlands? Are you aged 21-30? Accelerator Surgeries
Accelerate: Practice offers opportunities for East Midlands-based artists to engage in critical discussions about their artistic practice with other artists and arts professionals. Two more surgeries will be up for grabs in the New Year! One is open to all artists in the East Midlands, but the second is specially aimed towards those working in a curatorial field. This surgery is applicable to both curators and artist/curators living and working in the East Midlands region. They’re looking for artists and curators who are committed to sustaining and developing their practice and open to critical discussion about their work. Artists stalls/workshops available at Loughborough Streets Alive
Streets Alive will take place on 28 May and Charnwood Borough Council and Charnwood Arts work together to create many events and activities that take place throughout the day. This includes stalls, amusements and a wide variety of street entertainment and over 8,000 visitors come to the event. The arts team is very keen to promote arts and crafts and give designers an opportunity to exhibit, promote and sell their work, and are asking artists, designers and crafts people if they would be interested in holding a stall or running a workshop or demonstration. The Hinckley & Bosworth Arts Network has recently taken over management of the Exhibition Gallery at the Library in Hinckley. This is a non-profit making scheme and all monies raised go back into the Gallery. Therefore, our hire prices are low by comparison to other galleries and included in the hire fee, we also provide posters for your event and invitations to your opening night (should you want them). The Summer Exhibition on BBC Two
The Royal Academy of Arts and the BBC are planning a second series of progammes about the Summer Exhibition to transmit in June 2007. If you're an artist and are thinking of entering the Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition, this could be your chance to get involved. The BBC would like to film artists of all levels and backgrounds, whether amateur or professional, as they create their work for submission to the exhibition. Masterclasses in Pyrotechnic Performances
French pyrotechnic celebratory company Plasticiens Volants (www.plasticiensvolants.com) will be performing their show 'Perle' for the launch event of Leicester Comedy Festival (LCF) 2007 in Braunstone, Leicester on Friday 9 February. Braunstone Community Association (BCA) have been awarded funding from the Arts Council England to stage this event and work with local community groups, individuals and regional artists in the run up to the event. There will be a series of masterclasses organised around the project, focusing on developing skills in pyrotechnic performances and street arts, and opportunities to work with local groups and individuals. There will be 6 street arts clubs in the area with schools and local groups. You would need to be available for workshop dates in January and for the 7th & 8th February for the event. The Literature Development Network is launching a regionally-based professional level appraisal service in association with writers based in and beyond the region. The service will give market-informed, detailed, anonymous feedback on new writing. Critical Mass Artists' Moving Image commissions
Kinetica offers five moving image production bursaries to East Midlands Artists to create single screen works that cut against our assumptions and present us with unexpected interpretations of the Kinetica theme. The five commissioned works will be screened around the world and will feature on the Critical Mass: Kinetica DVD collection of Artists films. Project Manager for local history/arts education project (Leicestershire)
The Market Harborough Local History Group and Harborough Museum are seeking a freelance Project Manager to co-ordinate their project 'Symington's - Harborough's Lost Workforce'. The project focuses on the history of the Symington factories in Market Harborough and will seek to link children and young people to local history through a DVD, education pack, museum visits and interaction between generations. The project builds on the previous project 'Contour & Cream' which explored the issues through oral history, a specially commissioned performance piece and a book. The project is expected to be completed by July 2007. They are offering a total of 20 days work @ £200 per day = total fee available: £4,000 (to include any travel expenses). Minster School, Southwell – Commissioning Glasswork Panel & Chapel Doors
The Minster School, Southwell is building a new school due to open in September 2007. Designed by architects Penoyre and Prasad, the new building is to incorporate a number of specially commissioned artworks which will be displayed throughout the school. The school is inviting artists to submit their portfolios, as part of the competitive process, for the following
initial commssions with an overall budget of £20,000.
- Commission 1 - A glass work panel for the skylight situated above the altar in the chapel.
- Commission 2 - Chapel Doors - A pair of large sliding doors separates the chapel from the assembly hall. The artist will provide the infill panels to the doors.
