Self Employment Training Provision for the Unemployed

Stage One of the Programme

If you are in receipt of benefit and in the New Deal category then why not attend one of our Business Start up one day seminars where you will learn the realities of working for yourself and receive information to help you decide if self employment is for you. We will explain how our programme works and you will have the chance to see if this is what you really want.

Stage Two of the Programme

If you decide to go through our training scheme, then your Job Centre Adviser will sign you onto a four week training programme which is one day a week for four weeks. At the end of this period you will have developed your own Business Plan, as well as had the opportunity to receive a minimum of four counselling sessions with your own Personal Business Adviser.

Stage Three of the Programme

A unique feature of our contract with Job Centre Plus is that it enables you to `Test Trade' for up to 26 weeks whilst maintaining your benefits and continue with our business counselling: a six month safety net.

You will do all of the above whilst maintaining your benefits, and with the expert guidance of our Trainers and Business Advisers.
